Brompton bike hire lockers

Noticed a few of these around. Seems quite reasonably priced - £5 for 24 hours.
Presumably a kind of test ride, and they are hoping people will end up buying a Brompton.
Any one tried it? Does it work OK.
And there's a ScotRail offer for free hire. Maybe I'll have go, just for fun. I have no plans to buy a Brompton...

I failed to get the website to work for some tedious reason when they installed some in Middle Earth a few years back. And then I bought a Brompton
[1]
, so lost interest.
Anecdotally, they seem like an excellent marketing tool for Brompton, while providing a useful (if somewhat niche) longer-term bike hire service. The sparsity of the lockers makes them unsuited for Boris Bike style use, but you could get off the train from elsewhere and hire one for your weekend in $city.
[1] I was somewhat miffed that I couldn't get it in
the excellent shade of purple they used for the Birmingham Bromptondock bikes
, so went for
BLACK
instead.

I did the same a few years back in Birmingham...
I guess they must work, as I subsequently purchased two Bromptons...
