Putting in some effort

Must. Avoid. Germs.

Get yer hood up! She's come from the left and clearly the light sequence doesn't favour a leisurely meander given the traffic starting up from her side (though both those vehicles had been stopped ahead of their stop line), but she could help by giving herself a bit more forward visibility!

I love seeing older bikes being used regularly. And remember that 'i' before 'e' rhyme? I've just had a thought, it could also be, "'i' before 'e' except in Raleigh".

Plugging away.

Attention grabbed by the red shoes?

Reet proper cycling garmentry

Just as well it's July... First rain in ages too. And of course ignoring the fact that the wettest place in the UK is in England...  :P

I love in the penultimate one you've got movement in the background but the cyclist's in focus. You must have tracked the blighter as he sailed past.

Well yeah, it's festival time. Even in years like 2006 when the rest of the summer was glorious, August is always vile. Cold, wet, miserable. The forecast for next week includes hail. I was in the pub last night and when I came out it was thundering and there was a river of water running down the Royal Mile so deep and fast that it was taking all the rubbish bags down the hill with it!  ;D

I usually take a week off in August to mooch around and do festival stuff and in the weeks before that week, I sit sweltering at work and spend hours fantasising about sitting in the Pear Tree garden with a supply of long vodkas and a good book, and as soon as it becomes my week off, it rains and the temperature drops to single figures.

Nice pics Anth. I think your next theme should be "the feral children of Bingham."
