I've a branch not far from the office, and a chap says their steaks are very good.  Anyone here use them & have opinions ?  https://www.costco.co.uk/Food-Wine-Household/Chilled-Foods/Meat/c/cos_6.4.1

I haven't but a friend seems to agree.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

Oooh, their prices don't include VAT.  Less attractive.

You don't pay VAT on raw meat IIRC, though fruit juices and confectionary are another matter.

ETA I don't think VAT is payable on anything raw (and unpackaged) though I'm not sure about nuts.

Bottled water has VAT, milk and milk drinks do not.

Yes, they have some very good meat.
Steaks, and whole sides of fillet.

Helly is correct, the prices quoted for meat did not attract VAT.   I've not tried the steak , lamb, venison or chicken I bought, but the cheddar and humous were both very nice.

Find the quality of the Costco meat products very good.   Regularly stock up the freezer from their big packs.

Their cheeses are excellent.  Love their whole French Brie, excellent produce for the price of a semi raw slice in t'supermarkets.  Oh, and their Parmesan Stravecchio!
