Well he's away in a nor'easterly direction and Auntie Beeb is suggesting a band of the wet stuff is on its way towards him.

GO STEVE.

Hope you are continuously kept warm and dry (enough) by feelings of the achievement, especially the recent days but including all of them.

I'd just been pondering the same thing having spotted he'd passed The Wash without turning and concluded same.

Go Steve

Well, its a pleasant sunlit evening about twenty miles from where TG currently is, so escaping Northwards through Lincolnshire seems to have been a good move. Not sure how far Steve will go tonight and whether it is a planned host stop-over or another TravelLodge night.

Either way, keep those pedals turning Steve!

yup, its a lovely evening here in Lincolnshire, he's a bit North of me currently and while the rain was hammering it down around 5pm, its now a very pleasant evening, blue skies, wispy clouds and barely a breeze

So was that a missed turn over Gunness bridge or just a deliberate trip up to the delights of Flixborough and back before crossing the Trent bridge at Gunness?

(Maybe the bridge was very unusually open to River traffic?)

It can be confusing if you don't know it, to get up onto the bridge coming from the South East side).

344k. Mental arithmetic tells me that that's 215 miles. Excellent!

I am sure Steve knows the geography of Doncaster and Lincolnshire's flatland VERY well, having been initiated to them with Bernie's rides while but a young lad...

wouldn't have thought so  ;D

The bridge has not been lifted since 1956. The bridge was widened and the headroom increased in 1960 and the bascule was fixed in position
