[HAMR] 21st October - Teethgrinder day 75/295

Rise and Shine Steve.

Back on the bike,  and roll on! Be safe, hope the legs good * and give us a long one

* 300 km on a bad leg = not comprehendable by me. I once rode the 2nd half of a Steve Carroll 300 on 1 leg, I was fit for nothing the next day !

Has Steve indicated whether the pain is lessening?

I took the message yesterday, about having to give his leg a rest, as a not-so-good sign.  If it is still at that stage three days after it first being mentioned, then I hope it is at least recovering even if slowly.

I wish he had an Alicia to look after him. She really is the biggest advantage Kurt has.

Can't disagree with that, although he had to run lower milage to fit the wedding in to the schedule  ;)

Looks like Steve is of on a repeat of yesterday perhaps, with an initial run up in the North East direction. Maybe to try a break the 200 mile barrier after yesterdays slow finish?

Keep going Steve, you know you can smash it.

Hope the leg is feeling better.  :)

Looking like a better day today, 181 Ivan miles at 21.8km/h so far and he's got a bit to do until he's back home.

Go Steve.

"overhaul" it, or you can ride it.  (Jerome K Jerome)

I messed up a bit today. I was going to try for 200 miles and save my gammy leg but strayed too far from home and did 210. Oh well. Never mind...

Has anyone got a clue as to what the Gammy Leg symptoms are?  Half an hour spent getting an 'opinion' from a physio may be miles well spent in the longer term.

Do you mean about his leg or about his ride of the 21st? The ride itself is here...

Saying that 200 miles counts as taking it easy is not a normal use of the English language.

Steve does have a Hoppo to look after him. We all know how much of an advantage that is.
