Did it last night.  Not the best-designed survey in the world, but a bit more interesting than the usual marketing student leading questions.

I mostly used that to elaborate on my answer to the 'expectation to dress' question.  (Which is mainly helmet assumption/compulsion.)

* Too many questions though
* Could do with an option to shorten it, e.g. "I'm a commuter/utilitarian cyclist, I don't want to join a cycling group any more than most drivers have no interest in joining a racing team"

I ticked other and said I had lots of bikes (and a trike)

and it assumes I'd only ever want to buy a new bike.  Last time I bought a brand new bike for myself was 1989 I think.  Last time I got a bike new to me it was at the local tip.  As usual, I am not in the target demographic.  Or something.

My answers to the club stuff was based on CAKE and opportunities for the conspmption thereof
And my general response was a lament about the focus often being on speed rather than on enjoyment

I may have been an outlier in choosing clubs to learn about local history and geography (east sussex ctc) and chat with socialists (Brighton and Hove Clarion, amongst others).I like riding with groups, the more diverse the better. I have no desire at all to rush about.

When it comes to learning about local history, it's hard to beat riding with people who still navigate by it.

so it's not surprising that it's got a very particular cycling world view, much like that Rapha one that did the rounds a while back.

I read it as a bike shop looking to start a women's cycling club and then tagging a bit of market research about bike purchasing habits on the end.

From the Twitter thread it looks like she may have got more and different to what she was expecting, so it'll be interesting to see what eventually emerges!

D'oh.  Didn't think of that.  I'd generally prefer if it stayed below 2, but it never seems to work that way in practice.

Includes question about ride distance but not route type.
I've done a few Breeze rides in the past, but they chose roads which I'd normally do my best to avoid or absolutely minimize: e.g. rural dual carriageway and straight sections of rural B road beloved by weekend petrolheads. Maybe I've spent to much time working with collision data.
