It might be a week before I can get a replacement for my sti lever, so I was considering fitting an old bar-end lever. It's indexed for 8 speed, but should work in friction mode on 9 speed.
Anyone know of a reason why that wouldn't work?
If I can't sort out the sti lever, I'm seriously considering trying to fit down-tube levers or 9-speed bar ends. Down-tube on bike is oversized, tho'.
