Where is Bob ?
« on: 06 July, 2008, 07:28:56 pm »
4 weeks ago we had this lovely black cat walking into our flat and it pretty much settled down right away.

Over the next few weeks he came in pretty much every night and "lived" for a few hours, until we had to kick him out as we were going to bed. He also started to arrive in the am for a while, well until we had to kick him out as we had to go to work.

He would come right up too you and purr like a purring thing and head but you to get your attention. He even had a kip on my stomach one afternoon when I was resting my eyes. You could play with his whiskers, blow air on his face and even play around with his paws while he slept and there was no reaction. He was very very placid :)

But we haven't seen him since last weekend :(

So where is Bob*) ?

*) I still have to figure out how the heck Peli figured out Bob was a he :)

Maybe his other 'owners' are on holiday and have put him in the cattery?
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

Oi! I don't know what Bobb was doing but I was having a lazy day at home enjoying the sport on TV - F1 British Grand Prix, Wimbledon finals and 2nd stage of Le Tour.

Woolly, shame about the cat - looks like Peli was particularly fond of the thing. I'm reminded of a Tim Buckley song called Buzzin' Fly...

I'm a bit worried about Bob, as there is 2 wonderful cat loving redheads in the house but tend to only want to come over to me, whom don't really care about cats. Is Bob queer ?

Cats may be friendly with people who don't stare directly at them which is a threatening thing in feline body language.

That's the theory, might be a load of old tosh

Apparently this is why cats will make a beeline for the one person in the room who doesn't like cats.  Not looking at the cat, and not make much movement is seen as being friendly.  Looking at the cat, and waving arms whilst making "here puss puss" sounds is not friendly.  Very odd, by human standards, but it does seem to be the case.
Actually, it is rocket science.

Ah!  Sounds like we should swap cats - my cat-share stays out all night and sleeps in all day.
