Spec Langster stolen - SE London/Kent
« on: 07 January, 2012, 03:44:47 pm »
From an email sent to the Lewisham Cyclists list earlier this afternoon:

My rather unique Langster has just been nicked from outside Nev's place in St Pauls Cray, Orpington, Kent.
I suspect it was nicked by some local "oiks" because a really crap bike was dumped where mine was taken from.
Please will you keep your eyes open to see if it pops up anywhere, either in the real world or on the internet?
Description as follows as with the features that it had I think it's pretty unique and quickly recognisable:-
Dark Green Specialized Langster
Brown bar tape
Map holder attachment on bars
Bar end shifter (3 speed) on right bar end only
Brooks Swallow (brown) saddle
Tubas fly L/W rear rack
S/A 3 speed hub gear
32 spokes in front wheel, 28 spokes in rear wheel
Race Blade mudguards in imitation carbon fibre effect material
Frame number 70689980
Also registered with Bikeregister.com so it has a white code stencilled on the underneath of the down tube.
Please also feel free to post this anywhere else you think may be useful.

Cheers
Steve W

I can pass on Steve's email if any one has any info
Why should anybody steal a watch when they can steal a bicycle?
