How many cyclists can one get into one of these rooms. Double bed and pull out.

Depends entirely how friendly they are!

Usually 1 double + single from sofa + "truckle" bed from under sofa

So that's three or four people then.

IIRC the T&C's used to state that there was a maximum occupancy of 5 for the family rooms (although it must be *cough cough* years since I looked at said T&C's), presumably that would require either topping and tailing or one person sleeping on the floor (well two actually as the sofa would only be comfortable for an anorexic midget to sleep on!)

Liz and I stayed in a Travelodge room with Juliet and doop after the BCM this year.  Two in the main bed, two on the sofabed.  We all got our bikes in the room, too.  Any more than four and someone would be on the floor, though...

2 with bikes in comfort, no trouble
3 normal adults in 'comfort'
4 if one uses the sofa (i'd be OK on those sofas if I was tired enough, but I'm no giant)
5 if 3 are small kids! (hence the official limit)

5 if 400km into a Middle Road 600 (I was watching the Japanese GP over the road at the time - they TELL me they were sleeping ... ) - bikes downstairs, NOT in the room

More if, as above, and really desperate, and no snorers.

In case you haven't been in one, the rooms are NOT big - once all beds are deployed, there's not much  room to manouevre!

Sober or drunk?

Exhausted AUKs sleep far more deeply than drunks, even if sober...

Depends on how "familiar" you are.

e.g. I ended up sharing a double bed with Nuncio before the BCM.  ;)

When drunk you can pass out on other people.
