Nope, NSTN's dog is called Cam, ergo you can't have a cat called that as well.

He was actually sitting right behind me, and every so often I'd get a paw or tail poking into my ear.

I was watching Aliens, and "Jones" the cat makes a few brief appearances at the start with "meows", which were obviously realistic enough to make him stare at the TV for a few minutes, ears a twitch.
