Very extensive frost here in the North Pennines. Minus 3.5C
But much lighter winds than recently, so I'm off for a ride.
Coffee stop at the re-opened and very good Hemmel Cafe in Allenheads.

Bah, didn't get there.
Approaching the top of the first climb I started getting visual aura (migraine) and made the sensible decision to take a couple of tablets and cruise home. Felt OK by the time I got here.
Due to be less windy at the w/e, and a change of direction, which opens up different possibilities...

I've just read an internal report (so no link, sorry) that says that the 9 month period to the end of this March was the wettest 9 month period in Wales on record (189 years of record)

Bright and sunny here today though slightly overcast at the moment. It has been ideal for the decorator painting my front door. I also just heard the chimes of the ice cream van plying his trade among the youth of the estate and their parents.

Raining heavily now..
Tell me about it!
I rode home from work through the worst of it. (5 minutes after getting home, the rainfall radar app on my phone pinged with - "Close: Precipitation" - I'd not noticed!
)

Our weather has been calm and dry all night and wet and windy all day on most days this week, expect for when it rained all night as well.
