I could easily get to The Green Dragon tomorrow evening so count me in. It's been a while since I've seen any of you guys!

It's too cold for sandals today.

If it's cold I can always wear them with socks and my kinky neoprene rubber booties.

Oaky dear heart, should I meet you off the train in Witham or will you be getting off at Chelmsford?  And, have you seen chief, is he coming too?

Sheesh -- I thought the whole point of the sexy-aero-slippery new TT bike was to make up for the extra drag caused by the face-fuzz.

Tell him there's a decent sized carpark so Mrs chief will be able to drop him off easily enough.

It had been bugging for ages as to what this reminded me of:-

until just now.

It's the bearded Arthur Dent on the pre-historic Earth 2, at the start of "Life, the Universe and Everything" (or possibly the end of "Restaurant at the End of the Universe").

I can't find a picture on teh interwebs to prove this though :(

Goodness me, those beards are frightening! Remember, chaps, all that Gillette advertising isn't on the TV for nothing. The Blade Is Your Friend.

OK I shall be setting off for the Green Dragon from Witham at 7:15-ish, depending on the whim of National Express East Anglia, naturally.

should be a good one :)

I should be at Youngs End 2000-2030.
Thanks for the invite, AH and Wow, but I have some stuff to do here before I can go out and play.  :(

Super, I'll meet you at the station. I don't think I'll have difficulty spotting you since you will be in full armour.

How did the oven cleaning go?

It will take less than an hour to get there. The National Cycle Network goes right past it so there are signs to follow - see Sustrans has it's uses!

I'll stick with my original plan and head straight to the pub to save any unnecessary waiting.

Blimey, you must have been working late, curry and oven cleaning

"Cleaning the oven for your missus" isn't a euphemism for something else is it?

Wow and I expect to get there before 6pm so will hang around aimlessly waiting for you lot.

We may eat our dinner before y'all arrive - or are you planning to eat when you get there? Or is it just drinking?
