I've just measured the conventional pannier rack on one of my bikes. It's 30cm in length.
Following on from my thread about alternatives to panniers, I'd be grateful if you wouldn't mind digging out a tape measure and sharing dimensions of the pannier rack you use.
The top of the rack I have here is 30cm long x 13cm wide which isn't big enough for carrying big stuff. I'm looking for the biggest rack money can buy.

Tortec Supertour, 32 x 14. The length only includes the flat section, not the little kick at the end.

Cheers Andrew. The platform on the Thorn Expedition rack looks impressive. Interesting that it's totally flat as well.

Got myself one of the Thorn racks. Very nicely made it is.
