Having discovered this thanks to MV and bought the DVD, I'm a big fan of the series.

I can't believe that Hollywood and little Mel G won't bugger it up.

There's a tenuous link between Mel's previous work (Lethal Weapon) and EoD.

Both had soundtracks by Eric Clapton and (the late) Michael Kamen. Awesome tunes - that make pretty good cycling music as it happens...

I could just about see Gibson in the Joe Don Baker role at a push but I don't see him as Craven.

I've still got my 2 tape VHS version of the series as well as the more recent DVD.

I've even got the soundtrack on vinyl which I bought back when it came out. Must rip it to mp3 soon!

I'm having trouble with the idea that the corrupt weapons-grade nuke furtivity is going to come as a surprise or anything bad these days. Surely that's what all the big nuclear powers do and meh, who cares as long as it's not Osama.

I seem to recall some chaps in black slotting Jedburgh in the last episode of the original, so the precedents there....
