Did ony yacfers take part in the 54km East Lothian Rough Stuff Audax, organised by Martin Foley of Audax Ecosse?

Well, I did today, and a great event it was, so thanks to Martin for organising it.

Here's my track log:

Thanks, Brian.  Did you use an MTB - or could the route have been tackled on a road bike with, say, 28s or 30s?  Has it been pretty dry up there this week, as in England?

I used my MTB, Peter.

It could have been done on a road bike, but lots and lots of walking would have needed to be done.  Paths went from gravel cycle paths, down to farm double track, and over grown very muddy single track!

A good days ride though.

Did the 2017 on Sunday.  Atrocious weather conditions on the day and on Saturday in particular meant that there was plenty of the promised mud.    I really enjoyed it and it was pleasing to see a good number of youngsters participating.  Great muffins at the start as always...
