Anyone out on Wednesday? Post-Flatlands I seem to be a bit snowed under with this and that, so I need an excuse to get moving again....

Errr no!  I have a very sore right ankle.  My shoes are falling to bits and my right pedal was creaking so I wonder if my foot was misaligned hence the soreness.  It was getting sore on the ride but has got worse and swelled up.  I'm off me bike until I get better.  Shoes, cleats and pedals are being replaced.

And next week I'm away working in Cornwall - better not tell Hummers.

I had the very same problem about month ago after a 200 - knackered pedals replaced - problem solved. Took a week or so for the swelling to go down.

Venue for Wednesday - Del-friendly, of course? Viper?

I got the single sided Shimano PD-M324 spd/conventional cage to replace the earlier model I had. The cleat retention mechanism had got very sloppy, but being a cheapskate and as the bearings were still good [serviceable cup & cone] I ran them [and my ankle] into the ground.

....And the Viper tomorrow, then?

Pedal with the other leg.
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

I find I have several-times-rescheduled meeting that slipped my mind and can't really get away in time this evening. Sorry folks - Del yhpm.

Pedal with the other leg.

I'm not sure that is a viable plan as I'd probably go round in circles which would confuse my Garmin.

On the plus side, the weekend has done my cyclist's tan a power of good, I was admiring it in the shower this morning.  I'll spare you a photo, you'll have to take my word for it.

I'll be going out still and I could make the Viper if there are any other takers. Otherwise I might only get as far as the Windmill at
East Hanningfield.

I would have been out Del but sadly I start my London to Paris charity ride tomorrow morning early! So will be mostly packing and tinkering with my bike tonight.
Have a nice ride

I am back on the treadmill of grandparental duty. Wednesday evenings will be spoken for for several weeks to come. I would imagine that I might be free on the last Wednesday in October, and  by that time I might be able to ride a bike again.

Looks like being a quiet MEMWNS night, I'm not going to be out on the bike either.

After a 2 week absence is there likely to be a MEMWNS running this Wednesday Gentleman?

Pending putting Vicky Vaya back together with a new bottom bracket I'll be there.

Good news, which local watering hole are we likely to be visiting for a couple of refreshments?

Well, clearly not, but with some productive use of lunchtime Vicky has a new bottom bracket fitted.

Open to other suggestions but here's one - The Hoop @ Stock.  Always fancied trying it, not been in there yet.  With a 7:30 departure from Witham arrival in Stock would be around 9pm.

Paging Del...if you are intending to intercept us somewhere on Wednesday could I borrow back the Alps videos, please?  My PC had a sneezing fit and lost lots of my data  :'(

Sounds good to me mate, I was supposed to attend a beer festival there earlier in the year and sadly couldn't make it!

I think the time has come for some of the newer members of our little group to perhaps take the lead in suggesting where we go and how we get there.

:o  ::-)  :facepalm:  :-[ I don't have them either!  :'(
When I got the SD back I couldn't mount it at all. I couldn't use the card in the camera either so I formatted it!
We'll have to redo the week.
