I won't be out but note that there are 2 pub based beer festivals going on next week... The OT & Queens Head (Boreham)

One involves chicken & beer, the other beer & BBQ....

The Cats would be ok by me for tomorrow.

The Queens Head ought to be given a go next week, since it's been on the radar for a while ... ?

The Queens Head would be better this week as the tide will have HW at about 9pm, so much nicer to look at rather than mud?

Sorry GS, should have re-stated Jason's suggestion: Queen's Head, Boreham - beer and chicken festival next week!

For some reason I haven't had any notifications so haven't kept abreast of plans for this week but blimey  :o we're going to get a tide so high it reaches Boreham  :o

So any how, assuming we don't all get washed away, where are we going this evening?

Cats? Otherwise The Spiritual Home? If the former, I can't stay too late, but the SH is a short ride home for me ...

Sooooooooo this evening...

Any thoughts?  I'm happy with the Compasses if that's easier for Tomsk.

Ok! Unless anyone has any other ideas, The Spiritual Home is fine by me.

Hi.

It was nice to meet so many of you at the ACME event at the Compasses 2 weeks ago.

Do you meet every Wednesday evening ?

Thanks

Yes we do, turnout is variable (life gets in the way of cycling for most), destination definately varies by design though (less variance in lockdown due to reduced choice!). As a newbee when you don't understand the standard cryptography just ask (a reply or PM depending upon security risk to bikes etc will happen, from assorted persons). Even the established persons get confused on a regular basis.

Gritted roads in Winter, although turnout does tend to be lower when the ice takes over, can't figure out why.

Welcome aboard.

And where are we going Wednesday (open question, not expecting a newbee to have a clue)?

Thank you for the reply's.

Wednesdays are usually totally out for me. I have to do Taxi service for the kids.
But this week my wife and kids are away with the Mother-in-law and the cats have given me permission for an evening out LOL.

I'll keep an eye on this thread and see where you decide to end up.

Thanks
Owen

I thought it was the Queens Head Boreham this week?
Or the Orange Tree as they have a beer festival on ?

Either works for me.  I'd prefer QH, Boreham as I'm not sure I've been there before unless that's the pub where me, Oaky and chief played on the see-saw having turned left off one of huggy's audaxes.

But the OT is equally fine

No see saw at the QH Boreham, there is a mural on the theme of a UK beach on the wall of the smoking area.

Six bells is now a Greene King restaurant that also sells some beer, main trade is food. They have a very large car park for all of the drivers. My most recent visit was a leaving gathering for someone at work, never again, no space for anyone that isn't having a meal.
