Posh Nosh - pizzas for Guardianistas
« on: 22 August, 2021, 08:29:30 pm »
I was ribbing my Bristol glitterati friends
(I lives in Cardiff, see)
about their new stone pizza oven . . .

So you invite your friends round and they bring surprise ingredients
goat's cheese, Santorini capers, you get the picture.

'What else d'you have ?- Shavings of parmesan and truffle ?
- Black pudding's is the groovy ingredient these days ! Better add some of that"

No one brought pineapple or cheesy chips, I bet ....
Help me out with some suggestions !

Avocado and falafels are very Bristol right now, maybe you can combine them in some cheesy chips way? Or, having written that, even combine them with cheesy chips. Very, erm, something. Cheesy avo falafel chips. Yumm.

Avocado is omnipresent.  The other week Professor Larrington found herself partaking of breakfast in an Australian café in That London where there was apparently only one item on the food menu that didn’t contain it.  She ordered same.

“Wouldya like extra avocaaaado with that?” asked the waitress.

Teeth were gritted.

Vegetarian black pudding doesn't sound very Bristol at all. Now, if it was vegan black pudding, that would be right.

Haggis and black pudding are the only true pizza toppings.

that sounds like a truly offal pizza ...
