Will be setting off to Murrayfield soon, may be a tight match!
It is simpler than it looks.

Good News.  Just had my free half time sausage and chips.

Bad news.   The score.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

It’s a bit one sided isn’t it.

I think Wales would have lost to 15 strategically placed dust bins today.   :(

I was having my afternoon snooze!

Actually, I had no idea it started today.

I recognise hardly any of these England players. I think Youngs and Sinckler are the only two.

Well this is a game of two halves.

ETA;

I think the refereeing decisions in that match will be discussed of a few days. A good match, but what a turn round!

At least The Boy Smith can complete a place kick in about half the time it takes Owen Farrell :demon:

My thoughts about Smith/Farrell almost to a t; the only difference being that I would think he's much quicker than that - say five times as quick and not at all painful to watch, like Owen.  I though the referee was very good and England could have no quarrel about the yellow card.  Russell's kick was terrific and worthy of the try that was awarded.  England have tightened up on the penalty give-aways and Scotland were far faster than often.  Neither side could have complained if the other had won.  Great entertainment, I thought - even the scrums were shorter than usual.

Natch as an Englishman who resists all temptations to belong to other nations my first thought was “we wuz robbed” but the first replay made it abundantly clear that we wuz, in fact, not robbed at all chiz.

I suspect Ireland-France will be a game and a half, provided the French actually remember how le Rugby he is played.

It would seems that Ireland are the team to beat.

Scotland, most likely, after beating the Auld Enema will lose in a silly way to Wales.

I thought the England stand-off was very impressive. I can't help think that it was a mistake to take him off.

I was left wondering if the Scrum has a place in the modern game. There are so many, not unreasonable, restrictions in place for safety that it seems like only 1 in 20 or less actual setups doesn’t end in a reset or penalty.

It was also very frustrating that the final scrum didn’t yield a penalty to England, but I understand why the referee didn’t award one. The git.

Rugby League has given up on contested scrums. They now only mean that all the forwards are gathered in one place to give a bit more space for the attacking team. Not sure I'm totally in favour, but the number of resets in Union does get tedious.

Scotland's 98% tackle success is truly something to behold, hopefully we can keep it up next week

I estimate the TV Co.s devoted 30mins of airtime to place kickers staring at a stationary ball  ::-)
