Had a tremendous voice.

I was tempted to link to, The Carnival is Over because you can clearly hear how good it was, but thought something cheery sounding would be far better and this one also reminds me of being a small lurker walking home from school and singing* it to myself.

Well, I will link to The Carnival Is Over, from their farewell performance: https://youtu.be/8ZuA8LvTWNY

She kept her voice, unlike many singers who grow old, with only a slight reduction in range and lung capacity. She was a wonderful singer.

With Judith's AMAZING  power, range & control . The superb backing vocals & instruments of the other members .  You will be hard pressed to find a duff song , the Seekers have recorded .
But I do love    "Open up them pearly gates" .
Its More Fun With Three .

I was asked to give Jim Bowen (of Bullseye fame) a lift following a charity event. In between his corny jokes I asked him who is favourite singer was, without a seconds hesitation he said Judith Durham.

I remember the song but not that precisely – makes it a bit like "Puff the Magic Dragon", a category of "adults singing little kids' songs", for me.
Riding a concrete path through the nebulous and chaotic future.

I can remember singing "all bound for Morningsaide, many mailes away" in a Jean Brodie accent.

I have happy memories, from childhood days, of "Morning town ride". I often listen to the Seekers, still.
One thing that surprised me, Judith wanted to sing some Jazz. I heard a bit, she couldn't do it. I think she just wanted to lose the "Girl next door" image.
