Make progress to get hints: first, numbers on tiles to indicate how many words remain starting with that tile; second, how many words remain including that tile; third, list of all words on the board, by length, in alphabetic order, with the starting letter of unsolved ones (I think you get this last one for free if you haven't completed the board by 11pm). Longer words get more points to get to the hints quicker, but the aim is to get all words, excluding bonus words. Bonus words are obscure - supposedly - or slangy. There's a new board at 11am every day. The boards tend to get harder/longer through the week.
