I know forward planning is often frowned upon, but at some time in the future I'd like to go to The Queens Head in Boreham as I'm technically still barred from that establishment. Sure it was 25 years ago, but rules is rules - but I reckon I've got away with it.

Also, talking train assistance, did you know that White Notley is the least used station in Essex? Imagine turning up en masse with bicycles to freak the driver out!  :P
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

Oi, jibers, a couple of cracking ideas from our bobb!  Can you weave them into your programme of events?  Both sound very winter friendly.

I'm hoping the plan is to sit inside the Three Elms tomorrow.

If my trains play nicely and get me home in good time, I plan to see how my little wheeled bike fares on a longer trip, just as an experiment.

Funnily enough I rode past the Three Elms today and wondered if we were due a visit. Several visits ago [jazz band free...] I think there was a good meteor shower that night - I believe the Leonids will peak on 17th November this year. Just something to add to the night riding experience

And: I will be out tomorrow

I plan to join the peloton at the Generals Arms at the top of TMNH.

This ride is a repeat of my first meeting of the ACME MENWNS - the pickled eggs at the Three Elms were particular good as I remember, maybe time for another...

Where the ride will pause whilst I attempt to persuade my cardiovascular systems that having a heart attack will be inconvenient [after wrestling BJ up TMNH]

You might want to show OD these new fangled gears as a few of us think they'll catch on...

Yes - project is nearly complete.
Lighting is using a different set of parts to the final build until I build the looms and mounting bits.
Getting the gears/shifters to talk to the garmin is the only bit that doesn't work yet.
Running tubeless - until they let me down and spray the bike with sealant.

On that basis, I'll chase up my fork!  >:(

The fork is not available yet. I did discuss it with them, but a gentle nudge may help the progress a bit.

Yeah- I was gentle, just asking if there was any progress basically.  I saw another owner this weekend... common as mud now! LOL

So...down to the Prince of Wales, Stow Maries, or somewhere closer [for me]? I'm ok with a 50 mile round trip, as I have an easier day on Thursday, but...

We could go somewhere different as some of us rode past the PoW yesterday. What about The Vine at Black Notley???

Perhaps a little OT, but seeing as Stow Maries has been mentioned, you might enjoy this video about Stow Maries during WW1

I vote for somewhere as far east as possible, as I cannot make it this week. So using Tomsk's constraint, that'll be 40km E or SE from Dunmow.
