What time do you think you will reach HBO for pie ?

Looking at my previous visits, I will be aiming for just before 8pm (last visit was 18:30ish start and 25mph ave over 36km, dont think I'll be up to that sort of speed this visit!)

I am hoping to join Jiber for some pie if he ever lets me know what time he will be there.

We do enjoy date night.

I'm working on obtaining permission to attend (harder than you'd think) - would probably be an early arrival, early departure if so.

I'd just like to say, Jiberjaber's fulfilment of his duties of ensuring tea and coffee were in good supply and that riders were offered said drinks was exemplary on Saturday. So much so that I think with just a little bit of training he would make an excellent beer bitch.

ha ha ha....

Though I would confirm that the old saying about not sampling your own wares proves true not only for brewers and drug dealers but also purveyors of coffee - it was gone 2AM by the time I was able to finally get to sleep!

Haha....that's awesome!

It was a great day at the control and between comments on YACF and Facebook I reckon it was, as Tom expected, a great advertisement for ACME.

I concur with that sentiment. Some of you may have met Mel, who said to me afterwards how impressed she was with the hospitality and food on offer, and conveyed that message in her Strava update.

I was in Bournemouth attending a friend's post-wedding gathering ... a beach party held indoors due to the weather. I was following the updates from the ride, and missed being there on the ground.

Is anyone planning for a normal departure from Spa Rd at 7:30?

I think the word you are looking for is "usual".  There is nothing normal about you Spa lot.

I'll be going direct tonight so will be aiming for a 9pm arrival at HBO.

I also intend to leave early but that plan has been known to go awry...

This may change - it's quite a bit more than I can cope with tonight. Commute has proven about enough.

Apparently I'm a bit more than can be coped with tonight!

So I'll be joining you. I can't remember the way, so I hope someone else will be at the roundabout. OD? BFC? AndyC33333?

Sorry to hear that. Did you lose a fight with a rat? Pressure sore from sitting down all day? Trapped yourself? I think we should know so we can all give empathy.

Ouch, hope it's not too bad.

Thank heavens it didn't grab you by your prodigous manly area. Once those animals latch on you need a crowbar to get them off!

Bitten on the leg  by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Hope that heals quickly.

Don't worry unduly about not being there tonight though, I think jiberjaber has been practicing for such an eventuality.
