I have some work booked in for Boreham and noticed a pub near the location, Queens Head.... looks like a Grey & Sons establishment, one I certainly haven't visited yet, anyone else been there?

I know of it but have never been in. The Boreham local I know does drink there (and at the Compasses, and he brews his own good quality beer).

In the spirit of self sacrifice I may pop in.
Its in a tiny cul de sac at the back of the church, so no modern facility for tin boxes, which may limit the outdooor space?

Looks like a large garden from the pictures on FB and Google. Seemed to have an ok range of brews but not sure what it's like at the moment. Maybe early closing on Wednesday though... Perhaps readjust and head there tomorrow evening?

My family home was right opposite from around 1985 to 2010.

What did you do?

Nothing too exciting. Me and a bunch of mates used to work on the farm on the corner every summer. We'd quite often go to the pub at lunch times. They didn't like us and found some excuse to ban us. I think one of the lads ate his own lunch whilst we were there so that was the reason they gave. We spunked a ton of money on beer in there, so their loss....

Yep - just watching the rain at the moment, my shoes are still wet from Tuesday and I've an off-road extravaganza plotted - if the XK is no good, the QH is just 5km up the road to try out.
