Just had this from my team leader

Hi -- Update from $MANAGER....  A 6 month renewal has been requested for you and is waiting on approval - he's expecting it to come back pretty soon. Will let you know if I hear anything -- although I imagine $MONEYGRABBING_AGENCY will probably be in touch once its approved.

About 4 years ago Mrs. Wow's uncle was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given 6 months, give or take, to live. He's still here.

Last week they decided he didn't have pancreatic cancer after all.

In other news, I now have less than 10 miles per day to cycle in order to  reach my annual target of 4800 miles. Given the injuries and off-bike time I had in February, March and April I'm pretty pleased with this.

Not much in the scheme of things really, but I have just got back from Slimming World....slimmer of the week for the second week running.  Shame I stll have so much to lose but it's a start I suppose.

As an added bonus, barring any mishaps tomorrow, I will have hit my target of 100 Monday to Friday miles for my manufactured commute.

I returned home last night, after the random night random ride to random pub, and as I walked in the house I smelt cake.

Mrs T has baked a chocolate loaf cake for us to devour whilst doing the WotR.

Now I have a dilemma though, do I tell the others or just eat it myself? :)

the bus depot is open, and i spoke to the nice chap there.  my lost purse will be travelling on the first available bus back from the end of the line towards me, and collection has been arranged at a depot at a mutually convenient point.  obv the cards are cancelled, but the cash is still in it.  i can't tell you how irrationally disproportionately happy this has made me.  something went right!

Which just goes to prove I was right with the last thing I said to you on the phone last night (as I was starting to descend a hill at speed, I must add), doesn't it?

Was it "I've just remembered I didn't reconnect the brake cables last time I fettled. Can you call me an ambulance please Crinkly?"

to which she replied "You're an ambulance" and hung up laughing hysterically?
