I've been unofficially told that there is enough money in the budget to extend my contract for another 12 months and if bid money comes in, we are expecting information on this in a week or two, my contract will be extended for a further two years. Better still, my director spoke to me a couple of says ago and told me that once my position is secured we need to make sure my pay is increased to reflect my skills set. :-)

My daughter has started riding her bike to work! Someone gave her an old step-through Raleigh.  OK, so she rides on the pavement and walks up the hill, but it's a start.

It's saving £80 a month bus fare too.

on a serious note, beware of IR35 if you are a contractor, 2+yrs with the same employer will put you at risk...

2+yrs with the same client, please.
