Yes, I will be relocating, down the A1 a couple of hundred miles.....but close to the east coast mainline, so will hopefully still come for the Yorkshire/Xmas Pudding Ride  :)

Is "down the A1 a couple of hundred miles" code for "That London"?  :D

Congrats on the job, by the way.

I was going to say it's bound to be an improvement on Bish Vegas, but then there's always Rotherham..

Congrats

Congratulations. Just to let you know that Pease Pudding will travel 200 miles south and it still tastes ok (I know - I have to organise regular shipments to the smoke for my son).

That's excellent news!  What, where and do you have a good cycle commute to get there?

The sun set at 4 o'clock this afternoon. In a couple of days it will rise before 8 a.m. Then we'll really know the back of the winter is broken.*

Sumer is icumen i-i-in
Loudly sing cuckoo!

*This is a deliberately untrue statement. If It puts Its mind to it, It can still be cold and snowy right through to April.

'Lhude', not 'Loudly'!

Living where it was probably written, I feel protective of the oldest known secular song in English. I don't mind modern translations, but can't abide mixed-up versions.

Sumer is icumen in,
Lhude sing cuccu!
Groweþ sed and bloweþ med

And springþ þe wde nu,
Sing cuccu!
Awe bleteþ after lomb,
Lhouþ after calue cu.
Bulluc sterteþ, bucke uerteþ,
Murie sing cuccu!
Cuccu, cuccu, wel þu singes cuccu;

Ne swik þu nauer nu.
Pes:

Sing cuccu nu. Sing cuccu.
Sing cuccu. Sing cuccu nu!

 Statistic  news from denmark :

In 1989 110 cyclists was killed on danish roads   :'(

In 2008 54 cyclists was killed on danish roads  >:(

and the somewhat good news

In 2010 19 cyclists was killed on danish roads  :-\

A massive improvement, but still too many dead cyclists.

I rode my DF (Dawes Sardar) for the first time since my vertigo returned two and a half years ago, bit uncertain but no serious spins
