Title: Young impressions
Post by: orienteer on 30 March, 2009, 05:53:44 pm
Level 1 cycle training is mainly about making sure kids are ready to go out on the road in Level 2.

The first thing we do is ask them to ride one-handed - amazing how many can't, because they've never tried! Then we ask why is it important to be able to ride one-handed, and it doesn't usually take too long to reach the answer.

I was rather shocked the other day when an otherwise sensible-seeming girl responded: "So you can hold your phone"!

I guess it's a sad reflection of what she has observed on the road.
