I will aim to be out, be rude not given the venue.

If people from further afield are thinking of coming I am happy to switch to the other Compasses or somewhere round Witham.

I very much doubt I will be awheel on Wednesday evening. I seem to have picked up a nasty eye infection (my good left eye) and I'm on antibiotics. It was brewing on Saturday, I thought I was just tired.

I was thinking about coming out, but probably wouldn't make Layer De la Soul... but could make somewhere else, Compasses Great Tot as a possibility...

Other complication is I'm in That London daft early Wednesday, so hoping that I will still have the get up and go to get up and ride out!  I'll confirm tomorrow afternoon...

Joergen

Given the locality of the venue, chilliness of the evening and the prospect of riding home in subzero temperatures, short (most of us) or long (only jibers) , we could meet slightly earlier, say 8:30 at the pub, and therefore those that wish to can leave slightly earlier too.  Is that a motion that the committee would consider?

I've not worked out a departure time but it would be earlier than normal to accommodate a 20:30 arrival....  Met Office currently showing warming up from 22:00 onwards to a balmy 1 degree C!

See you at The Compasses when I get there...

You tell us. In the absence of the rest of senior management, you are the committee.

I will probably ride a fairly direct route with a view to an 8.30ish arrival.

Have a good one chaps

At least the lanes are dry, though I came across two icy patches yesterday where mains/drains were leaking a bit.

If only it was that simple!  I'm incapacitated, Tomsk is messing with this new boiler, heaven only knows what's happened to Oaky (did he even get home on Saturday?) so you're the only Elder left!  The past, present and future of the Mid-Essex yacf Chapter is in your hands. Like I said, don't fuck it up!

I am surrounded by people who are more than capable of a task such as that should you ever need some. I can happily confirm that none of the people I ride bikes with would fit into that category.

In a surprise turn of events, I shall be heading towards SPA RBT tonight!   I'm assuming a 19:30 rendezvous?  ???

That is the usual arrangement.
Unfortunately I will not be out this evening now due to colonial circumstances.  Guess I won't be trying out my new Black Friday purchase longs for a little while yet :(
