This is not good  :'(

Apart from those hardy souls over in Hertfordshire is anyone actually planning on riding this evening?

The forecast is still for heavy rain and gusty wind during peak riding time, so I'm out, by that I mean I am out of riding and staying in, not out out in the rain  :-\

No wingman again  :'(  That probably makes up my mind for this week as well.

Hmmm.  I don't fancy riding around in the wind and rain by myself so if nobody is going to be at the Roundabout of Shattered Dreams or nobody is going to meet me in a pub then I'm staying at home as well  :'(

So, last call, anyone wanna get wet this evening?

I'm not sure you are sat sufficiently high on the moral high ground to make such a comment  ;D  Although the fact that you, like me, are sat on physical high ground could be handy given the rain we're about to receive

Well, I got soaked this morning, might well get soaked on the way home as well so that'll be enough soaking for me. I will stay home and drink beer there, I think.

If anyone from the Rest of Essex wants to meet us by motorised transport (just myself + Gavin at the moment) at the Prince of Wales, I'll be aiming to be there around 20:00.

The forecast for Almost Hertfordshire is for heavy rain from 20:00 and a moderate breeze.

I could be tempted by a late bid for Witham 'spoons food and beer by car if any still fancy a meet...

Unfortunatly getting across Chelmsford to PoW by car is a bit of a PIA (1hr drive) compared to jumping on the A12 to Witham (25mins) from my location...

I got soaked just walking to the shed - wimped out tonight.....

Saturday looks better for a club run though?
Maybe we could try East this week?

I have only just got the wheel back together and don’t feel that it’s a sensible night, weather-wise,  to take it out without a test spin first. It certainly isn’t a night for the bike sans mudguards.  I am going to give tonight a miss, much as I could do with a pint after my day at work.

An early heads up for the western contingent next week - the B184 from Leaden Roding to Dunmow is due to be shut overnight from 20:00 next Wednesday for resurfacing works.  Pedestrian access only so possibly something to factor into routing/ venue choices.  On the plus side, as I won’t be able to get my car off the drive, I won’t be visiting elderly parent so a beer by bike is definitely on the cards.

I guess we're knocking the mid week riding on the head now given lack of interest?

I'm hoping to ride to The Viper tonight to check it out. Tomorrow looks damp.

I'm not lacking interest! But unfortunately I can't manage this week, next week is looking OK.

Is there a western contingent this week?

I've got a work do and a conference call, so won't be back from London until quite late. Hopefully I'll be out next week.

Is there a western contingent this week?

I'm up for a ride tomorrow evening - it's the morning that looks to be another wet spell. If we're staying westerly that's fine by me, but are we due a visit to the Spiritual Home?

SH would help.  I have shiny components to hand over to BFC if he’s out.

Checked out the Viper tonight, nice refurb, beer is the usual selection of Jake/VIPA/Oscar but a bit pricy (4.70 for a pint of Jake the Snake!) plus 2 guest (Citra and Tribute today).

Enjoyable venue.

Possibly up for SH tomorrow.

 Spiritual Home hits the spot then?!

It'll be good to go back to try the re-born Viper again sometime, despite the all-too-common high prices.
