How could a ghost do that? They are see through, just a spritit type thing.

It's not paint.  I creosoted it a few years ago.  It's a male hand because the third finger is longer than the index finger, but it's at child's height and the wrist is also there.

Either we have a wheelchair-bound poltergeist* or it's a spooky effect of the rain.
