An American patzer who lives in Russia where he runs a publishing firm, Andrew Paulson, has obtained worldwide marketing rights to chess championships from Fide for ten years. He hopes to make it a spectator sport. Here's
an article which is Wowbagger-friendly,
but does this mean Wowbagger will end up knowing loads of pop culture figures?!

I already do. I understand that in Iceland Nigel Short is better-known than Bjork.
