Requiem. Watched the first episode. Wife hated it but I thought it was OK. I would probably persevere with it if I didn't have a million other telly things to catch up on.

Did anyone watch the Lizzy Borden Chronicles?

Entertaining, although an awful lot of it seemed to be that the rich can get away with, well, murder.

Started watching requiem but found it a bit too arty farty for my liking. Too much reliance on "cool" camera shots and ominous silences.

Unlike "Trauma", watched the whole of, but equally shite. Not worth watching if you haven't already!

Unlike "Collateral" which is so far really good.

I saw the first 10 minutes of that and found it extremely silly. And not in a good way. And it sounds like it went downhill from there.

I loved "Biggest little railway in the world" whereas CBH hated it.  The answer to my question concerning attending the model railway event at the showground last weekend was met with a resounding "NO".

Anyway.... X Files Series 11 Ep 1..... I mean, what the hell was going on there???? I watched the first 10 minutes not knowing what the hell was going on until I realised that they had done a "Dallas" on us...... borrowed from the Guardians match report   It was like the time in "Buffy" when they introduced Dawn.  ???  Talking about Buffy, isn't it about time Channel 5 or the like rerun the whole lot from the start? Thursday evenings are just not the same anymore.

Of course being a Fanboy I will watch the rest of the series but frankly, I think I no longer believe.

zOMG. Jumped the shark so long ago it appears to be fossilised..... and I hear tell Ms Anderson won't do another series, frankly the horse tranquilizers are somewhat overdue for this patient.

Started watching the 2nd series of Modus. The acting was abysmal. I gave up.

Watching episode 3 right now but I think I’ve had enough of this nonsense. Yes, the acting is poor - FBI creep is especially bad. The awful script doesn’t help and the plot is beyond ridiculous.

Shame. I enjoyed the first series.

S4 of "The Bridge" is due "late Spring", though, for all our poncey middle-class FOREIGN-language policical Funz.  Although I am a tad worried that the shark may have already been jumped with that one.

I don’t think the Bridge has got anywhere near as shark-jumpy as the US president being kidnapped yet.

We’ve finally got round to starting on Spiral - halfway through the first series so far. It’s very good. Still trying to get to grips with the French legal system though.

I have an urge to binge-watch Engrenages again, but Miss von Brandenburg says I need to binge-watch Borgen instead.

We didn't see Modus S1, but the new one is quite intriguing (after 2 Eps!). Agree that the FBI creep character is just generally a feeble character, but there's plenty else going on.

Perhaps we're seeing this with fresh, unbiased eyes?  O:-)

Turns out the new John Cleese sitcom is every bit as shite as it sounded when Humpty Dumphries interviewed him about it on the Toady programme the other day.

Was, wasn't it. A great cast wasted.

...Still trying to get to grips with the French legal system though.

According to Spiral it runs on bureaucracy, back-stabbing, incompetence and corruption.

We are on Collateral. Episode 2 tonight. Shame we can’t binge watch, it’s rather good.
It is simpler than it looks.

The Art of Japanese Life on BBC 4 last night and now on iPlayer

It was part 1 last night and it was fantastic. Dr James Fox examining Japanese Arts relationship with nature. Fascinating and some beautiful art such as Tohaku's Pine Trees in fog.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

I gave up halfway season 2 on Borgen.  This is as a Danish expat normally binge-watching anything like that.

Missed it the first time round, Unforgotten is being repeated on ITV3. Good plot captures you from the off, cast like a Who's Who of telly. Should be available on ITV catch up. Worth it.

Save Me, started today on Sky Atlantic with the whole series available to download. Billed as being from the creators of Line Of Duty but no Jed Mercurio involvement as far as I can tell. However, it is written by and stars the superb Lennie James. Also stars Suranne Jones (who I’m ambivalent about but she’s good in this) and Stephen Graham. Plus lots of other stock British actors you’ll recognise.

It’s very good. Complex but not so bonkers that it stretches credibility too far. I would say I’m enjoying it but I’m not sure that’s the right word, given the direction the plot is heading after three episodes...

Saw this the first time round. His observations are spot on and deep.

Have no urge to watch it as I simply assumed it was, like everything Cleese does now, an attempt to pay his alimony bill.
