Wasn't tour de Yorkshire brilliant today?

Utterly brilliant snap that is, I hope the lead rider see it and get it printed out big.

And then there was the sprint and winner riding over the line with a Yorkshire flag :)

My sister in Harrogate mentioned the local grumblings about closed roads for yesterday's stage.

The grumblers will explode when they hear about the worlds in September.

The women's stage today, got diverted just now, rumour has it, it was a oil spill and was question is was the and oops or an "oops". Commentators in ITV said they din't get much info from race radio to confirm either or.

Went over to Halifax and thought I'd stick my nose in at the fair that goes on before the start. Attempted to go into the Woolmarket where the event was but bikes weren't allowed in - there were 'some racks over there' apparently. So jsut had a ride up the start of the route from km 0 over towards Howarth. A few souls about getting ready to spectate and some riders on the climbs. It was a bit nippy!
