Retro & vintage
« on: 13 May, 2021, 02:50:19 pm »
I have spent the last hour going through all my old cycling attire, which came with me when I moved to France. It fits, apart from a couple of jerseys. So absolutely no excuse to not be back on the bike once Himself is satisfied he's fettled it sufficiently that it's ok to be out on the roads after so many years. I shall refer to my clothing as 'retro' and 'vintage' as opposed to 'well past its best' I have given myself a thorough talking to, reminding myself that the pain I will be experiencing in early days will be worth it. I will set myself a target and when I reach it, treat myself to something new.

The cake might be 'retro' but if it is 'vintage' you'd probably best get something fresh.

Alas, it's not for me!

Don't mind others eating cake on my behalf though!

I remember when most serious cyclists wore trade tops, often rather old.  It was more a way to get a very good quality jersey cheaply than a fanboy thing.
