Hi Will.

I'm pretty sure I am signed up for this but I cant seem to get on the pedulation website to check.
I've tried on 2 different browsers and on my phone.

All I get is

Unsupported protocol
The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite.

Thanks
Owen

Thanks for the heads up, looks like a pesky plugin that auto-updated was to blame. Should be back to normal now.

And yes, you are entered.

Capacity has been reached. A waiting list is now in effect. As before this is paid and is the T&Cs as entering. Should a place become available you will be notified in order that you have a space and considered entered as if you entered normally and a confirmation email sent. However from the Wednesday before the event if a space then becomes available you can decline this space; a full refund will then be given as it will to all those who don't gain a space.

Any chance of leaving a bag at the start, to collect at the finish? If like to do the right thing and leave the car at home because 1) no carbon footprint for a bike ride and 2) no worries about falling asleep at the wheel on the way home afterwards.

Yeah that is fine. There'll be a side room bags can be stored in.

Everyone that was on the waiting list is now in. I've opened entries once again as Covid still seems to be rife and has caught a few out. Entries will close again Wednesday night and that will be final as I juggle start groups and flapjack quantities set, but not like stone...

Come join the fun!

This may not be specific to Moonrakers & Sunseekers, but I've been trying to submit an ECE entry (Oxford to Bristol). Unfortunately I keep getting this error page:

Any ideas what's going on?

For the ECE entry did you try to upload a proposed route file? If so it is likely that is the issue - there was a software release this morning and it looks like a setting was changed. So please try again without the track and (assuming that works) send it direct to Martin by email

Go to perms and search ECE. I think there has been a long running issue with the ECE process.

TomAplomb - although what Will suggests will work, please do try entering as you were (ie from the calendar event) but without the route file upload. I am pretty confident that will work, as we can see that a successful entry was made earlier today (presumably without a file upload) but your confirmation/feedback would be very useful.
Unfortunately, this was working fine, but as part of today's release it looks like a setting got overwritten causing the upload error, it should be fixed tomorrow.

Thanks

Thanks bhoot for the advice - I tried again without uploading the GPX file and it worked fine!

Should I send the route to my usual DIY organiser, Martin Lucas?

Min 8, max 17.

knee warmers it is then, was planning on wearing 3/4 length bibtights, but that would be far too warm on Saturday afternoon.  Sunshine all day on Saturday, but I think we're late enough in the year not to need sunscreen.

I chucked a pair of bib shorts and leg warmers in as a last minute change before heading to work this morning.

See you all tonight

Epic Ride Weather is my favoured app. You get some free then it is a small subscription for extra. Links to your RWGPS routes.

Here is a shared output - it is interactive in the app and can suggest ideal start times either side (not handy for an event but for a DIY etc can be).

Well that was a belter and I'm going to have to up my organiser game after experiencing that ride this weekend. Will and the team really lay on a fantastic event.

I met a few London riders at Paddington from the start and was struck at how far the reputation of this event has spread outside the normal Audax circles. Great controls, staffed in the middle of the night and a lovely atmosphere.

Entries are open for this year's Moonrakers & Sunseekers 300. Expect the usual cake fuelled stops through the moonlit night to Poole. Scoff the sumptuous breakfast before heading back to Bristol forever seeking the warmth of the sun and some warm grub at the Arrivee.

That is a temporal question that is currently unanswerable.

That was some of the most fun I've had on a Audax! Who doesn't love a bit of cyclocross on road tyres in the middle of the night?

Might well enter this one again, though I doubt we'll get the incredible weather we had last year.
