Just for fun and because it came to me courtesy of another thread and it seemed only fair to share :)
So todays earworm is
Run for home - Lindisfarne

I wonder if Eccentrica has got over this one (https://yacf.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=17045.msg1555806#msg1555806) yet...

I've been doing some route planning for my US trip next month and so have had the line from Paul Simon's America "counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike" going around in my head all morning.
I think I might just have to go there and do it!
-
Right now - the "Liberty Bell" march (AKA the theme tune to Monty Python's Flying Circus).

I'm taking the ferries from ardrossan to Islay for my summer tour. Mull of kintyre anyone?
Almost the worst song by an ex-beatle

I think that John Lennon called it "Paul's Granny Music" phase.
I would have thought that "Sailing " by Rod Stewart was more appropriate for your trip.
(Watch out for the midgies if you are camping at Lochranza)

Mr Lennon should not have been pointing fingers after producing Imagine.
No camping involved, maybe next time.

The band playing in the pub on Saturday surprised me in a most pleasant way when they did a couple of SAHB classics. I now have SAHB's epic take on Jacques Brel's Au Suivant (Next) lodged in my branes.

Some git on the radio last week pointed out that Bowie's Starman is the tune of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to it again.
-
It has crossed my mind that if you only ever listen to good music then you never have a problem with an "earworm". Having Bach, Mozart or Beethoven going on in your head is a pleasure. I'll make an exception for Fur Elise. I don't know who Elise was but she must have been really annoying.
-
Worse is when you get two tunes performing a spontaneous mashup inside your head-branez. Exhibit 'A' for the prosecution: Neil Young's Powderfinger and The Bevis Frond's Preservation Hill. A lot of Nick Saloman's guitar work gives a nod in Mr Young's direction.

Mum's alarm clock plays an electronic version of Fur Elise.
The problem is that Mum's hearing is defective, to the point where she cannot hear the alarm.
So it rings, and rings, and rings.......
I can usually hear it when I phone her.

Tchah! When was the last time any of those hacks released any new material? They're not even on Bandcamp, for goodness' sake O:-)

Possibly ironically, I’ve had The Sound of Silence running through my branes for the past couple of time periods. Well, a portion of it on repeat.

After months and months of waking up to various Joni Mitchell toons I now find my head's full of Earth Wind and Fire's Fantasy. I bloody hate disco.

I've had the Sensational Alex Harvey Band's live version on heavy internal rotation lately, which improves over the “Cabaret” original by being sung in a foot-thick Weegie accent.

Since yesterday's music choice of Angela Merkel, there's a new-old earworm:
