I've got a 13:15 start, which I'm guessing is one of the last groups to set off? Not really what I wanted being a habitual early riser, but it is what it is and I'll make the best of it.

Personally I think there's too many variables to make any firm plans so I'll probably look at going through the first night and see where I can get too before stopping for a nap.

AN30 for me - at 14:45. I requested the 15:00 group, so I'm guessing my group will be the last one, unless late starts are proving unusually popular. Last-group start worked for me last time: ride the first night a la PBP, get over the Pennines before a proper sleep, (though our ACME peloton did have an afternoon nap in a field, somewhere in the Vale of York after a fit of the dozies).

Only if you have a puncture and find your pump doesn’t work . If so, have a nap and I’ll be along in an hour or two.

Ive managed to convince myself that a 10.15 start actually gives me 6 days, since I have until 15:15 on the Friday to finish. 300 on day 1, 200 on the final Friday, means “only” 250k/ day to ride in between.  As I sometimes say at work- the most dangerous form of life on Earth is an analyst with a spreadsheet…

Requested 11.30, got 11.30. Will be trying to ride straight through to Edinburgh, we'll see how that goes.

Requested 12:45, got 12:45.  I don’t have a set distance / control for sleep. I don’t play the game that way. I play it by ear both on the road and at controls, get the dozies I have a doze,  if not I keep on riding. I know I can’t do more than one night without sleep, needing it roughly every 24 hours. One night without sleep, fine, two in row, no chance. Hopefully I’ll have a series of good sleeps in the week leading up to the event, which helps.
