I always go to a party that some friends have every year.  When I say party, it is more 'open house' with lots of people in different rooms (big house) mainly talking politics / music / environment / ...  ; whatever takes your fancy in fact.  There will be lots of simple finger buffet food and you take your own booze.   It is all very informal and we don't stop for midnight.   People will fall asleep on the floors and furniture, some will drift off home, some will be there for the mega cooked breakfast at 10 in the morning.  I might take the bivvy bag this year and kip in the garden.

Why is Bonnie Langford not dead yet?

"You cannot kill what does not live"

Of Bonnie Langford’s stage debut (at the tender age of seven) in the 1971 musicalization of Gone with the Wind, Noel Coward is credited to have said “they ought to cut the second act…and the child’s throat.”

Apparently a live horse relieved itself onstage on opening night of the same production, and Coward’s helpful advice was that “If they’d stuffed the child’s head up the horse’s arse, they would have solved two problems at once.”

I guess he wasn't a fan... :demon: ;D

Well seeing as he phoned Tourist Tony at 3:00 when we were taking a break at Gatwick on the November FNRTTC, without actually knowing that TT was working at the time*, yes I would say he is fair game.

*I will admit I put the idea that TT was on duty into his head.

Bah!

Much to my horror, a perfectly good evening was ruined when the telly 'had to go on for the fireworks' and then stayed on for that swaggering tosspot and hordes of half-pissed z list celebs and never have-beens that is Hootenanny.

As for Martha Reeves & The Mandellas, 'nowhere to run' was never more appropriate. Thank God for the Ting Tings.

Anyone who had the temerity to text me with glad tidings had the response  " you can take your Auld Lang Sine and stick it where the sun don't shine".

Bah!
