I'm in for this, provided the forecast doesn't go too nuts. Anyone else?

It is...if a clear day, you'll get some nice views...
I'd offer you some moral support - but I have questionable morals.

My thanks to Iddu - he kindly audited the route & routesheet  .

"Sam Weller's April Foolery" can best be described as the "Spring" version of "Kings, Castles, Priests & Churches" (which is run in December). It uses the most of that ride's controls. But the infos are located differantly, so the route follows lanes in the spring, and quiet main roads in the winter.

I'm sure all but the most ardent of mountain goats wil be releived to know that you don't go over the Malverns at British Camp on this event.

Entrants should have received ride info and GPX data, if you haven't - contact me directly.

There are a couple of "Kings, Castles, Priests & Churches" topics on this forum, so for curious. .... . . . ...

where you have a concentration of power in a few hands, all too frequently men with the mentality of gangsters get control. History has proven that. Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Having been riding fixed gear for the past 6 or 7 years, I might attempt my first fixed audax, and if I can drag my carcass out of bed in time, ride the 45 miles to and from the start.

Nice to do this ride without the frost/ice/snow of December!
Bit of a grey start, but not cold and made good time to Bromyard for a coffee and cake. Started to drizzle on the way to Ludlow and caught up with Hot Flatus, Nice to put a face to the name. After Ludlow it stayed mostly dry and even a little sunshine. Was in desperate need of food at Wormlow and a sandwich and a bottle of coke did the trick. Teamed up again with Flatus for the final leg back to Tewkesbury, thanks for the company.
Well done to the Mother and Daughter team, who finished about 5 mins behind us and were riding well, sorry did not catch your names
Thanks Mark for another great Audax ride :)
The land at the end of our toes it goes on and on and on and on

Thanks to Mark for an excellent route, I was starving by the time I got to Wormelow Tump but got sorted there.

Did anyone see the cyclists coming the other way wearing capes? First time I've seen them in many years.

Heart of England next, the last 50 km are always trying for me, think I'll take a fruit cake to keep me going!
