I'm baking a ham and then we're off down to Hell through the portal under the hallway floor (demons love ham, tastes like, well...), Finestre always has an awesome do at her place in Dress Down Friday where everyone wears the actual skins of famous dead people who ended up taking the down escalator (which seems to be most famous people) and gets fabulously drunk on barrel-aged barleywine and competitively invents curses and plagues to a soundtrack of the cheesiest rock ever. The evil and dead get their skins back when we're done with them. Sometimes with sick in them (sorry Jimmy) but no one said damnation was supposed to be fun. Well, unless you're doing the damning (and no one ever gets bored of watching Hitler learn to juggle with chainsaws). Poppy, the Queen of Hell will be there as she knows all the best parties, and Jess – South London's only undead ex-librarian – will be dropping by once she's made her own dining arrangements and probably saved the world (again). There will be the usual cohort of renegade angels and all the Dead Girls (and between them, they really know how to party). Death himself has yet to RSVP but he usually turns up at some point. Generally, he overestimates his popularity (tbh, he could at least bring a bottle of something decent, not petrol station faux-prosecco). If you're an archangel and your name is Gabriel, as usual, fuck off, you're not invited. You know precisely why. Blah blah blah, we don't care.
Anyway, apologies for any seismic rumblings. At some point, someone will find my secret stash of Pirate Noir and then things will really get going. Hopefully, that will be me. The afterparty will be at our place in Lower Clandestine, where we will welcome in the blistered red dawn of another year of our terminal era with the bottles of obscure spirits we're acquired on our travels and been trying to get rid off ever since. I think it's made with beetroot and old shoes shouldn't be viewed as a negative. You might be forgiven for spitting out the Unicum though.
Break something and enjoy. It's not fun if it doesn't eventually hurt.

Well, i made it to midnight like a good host should. I have now left Mrs. B to hold the fort and have retired to my room with a Talisker.
Sounds of my guitar being thrashed and what must be a pack of wolves suffering with kidney stones is drifting up from downstairs.
