Penny carrier (WIP)
« on: 27 April, 2009, 07:34:07 pm »
My penny's too big to get in the van without a lorra faff, and it's entirely the wrong shape for an "arms" type of bike carrier.  Time to break out the welder!

A bolt through the back will fasten it around the upright, and then a test ride before paint and reflective tape.  It's a little bit wibbly...   ::-)
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

I'm so glad you exist.  Otherwise we'd have to use a fevered imagination to create you. ;D
Getting there...

You could mass-produce them and sell them to Halfords.

Fantastic work!  Are you going to drive up to London with it?

Probably take the train, it's easier.  Plus, it's a little flibbly, and Bucephalus is a mighty weight, so I need to test it first!

Does your beastie have a name?

Futon bed has tatamis instead of planks.  Comfy in a hard-yet-yielding way!

Not yet.  We're in negotiation.  I think it's a she, though  :)

Is this going to be a back of the car carrier, or a roof rack one?  If the latter, with an ordinary you may have to start watching for low bridge signs very carefully!
Actually, it is rocket science.
