BIN files
« on: 17 September, 2009, 11:45:38 am »
Historic Scotland have a job advertised on their website. There are links to the job description/personal specification and general information, which take me to a BIN file. I assume someone has screwed up and the links should point to something like a pdf, but until that gets sorted out, is there a way to easily read the BIN files?

Bin could be absolutely anything.  Phone them.
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

It's a naming problem.  Download it, change the extension to .doc and open with Word.

If you have a problem let me know  - I've been able to open the documents.

Super, it worked by changing the extension to .doc and opening the file with OpenOffice . Thanks.

Hopefully that'll give you an advantage over the other candidates :)
