Really pleased to see Hammond finally get a start in a major tour - in the provisional start list for Cervelo.

He's ridden the tour before now ISTR.None the less good news at least he wont have to rie the TOB in the pissing rain.

I had the pleasure of being on a cycling camp with him and he said then that he'd never ridden a three week tour, just hadn't been the way his career went, so really pleased for him now.

"Getting ready for the Vuelta! Really excited about my 1st grand tour. Starts in Assen, Holland, I won a Youth tour there in '89!"

IMHO definitely one of the good guys, really helped Cav in his early days in the peleton,
