As you have the means to take the bikes somewhere then ride, go up on top of the Downs then ride along, off road.

That was a brilliant idea, thanks. We did about 2 miles one way and a bit less the other, and it felt like a proper adventure to him. At one stage some walkers did the clapping and cheering thing for him
