Trike conversion kits are mostly secondhand. Good ones are Higgins (very old), Ken Rogers (pretty old) and Longstaff (not too old, comparatively). The only good new ones are by Trykit http://trykit.com/

Stake out https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/on3wheels/ the Tricycle Association’s forum. They scan eBay and discuss which ones are good value.

I have a secondhand axle somewhere that I never got around to fitting.   One of the hub flanges has been slightly bent (been dropped?) and as a result it's gone further down my list of things to sort out.

PM me if interested.

Upright sports trikes (as opposed to recumbents and utility models) don't sell for what they are worth, owing to a limited market. Depending on budget, you could watch out for one.

That's the way to do it, no dithering.  I will be off to Trykit tomorrow to collect a Longstaff he has been repairing for me.

You will of course be joining the Tricycle Association, wont you?  £10 a year which barely covers the quarterly magazine.  Join after the end of September and you will get the rest of this year thrown in.  See what your TA region has in the way of meets, plus of course national meetings.  You will also find a few of us at BHPC events which we use for our criterium championship.  https://tricycleassociation.org.uk/ (https://tricycleassociation.org.uk/)

Found Trykit through these pages and duly ordered a conversion kit

Conversion kit arrived a month earlier than advised.  ;D

Thanks Geoff Booker/Trykit

Went on the Ribble road bike with no problems, all pretty straight forward.
Got an ICE recumbent just over a year ago. It got me out, Pathetic uphill, bloody terrifying downhill.
It will be for sale in the near future
So, looking forward to first ride in an upright(ish) posture for several years
 don`t watch this space.

I`m going outside and may be som time ::-)
