Struggling up Feetham
« on: 11 August, 2013, 08:25:22 pm »
I rode Nigel Hall's (VC167) Aldbrough Grimpeur on Saturday with some friends; Hugo, JvdP and a couple of riders I met on the day.  I spent most of the time "off the back" on each climb, which I pretended was because I was taking photographs.  The Aldbrough Grimpeur was hard work, but then it has 2.25AAA points in 100km; thankfully they are rewarded with views of Swaledale, Wensleydale and Arkengarthdale; as well as named climbs such as Hard Stiles, Fleak Moss, Buttertubs, Feetham and "The Stang".  Wonderful.

My blog... advert free of course - just a place to be in control of my journal...

Young'uns!

Colin is (ahem) 62.  He climbs like a helium balloon and descends like a meteor.  If I can be that fit and healthy in (another) 20 years... wow.
