"members map" software

I'm looking at building a "members map" for a club I help run.

What's out there that let's people stick a pin in a map and add some comments that I can easily plug into a website?

Not sure if registeration is required, probably not.

What about creating a map on Google maps & collaborate it?

I think Google Maps has that function.  (e.g. how the member map is bolted in here).

That is free, I think, but you need to learn the code.  Lots of other websites have a google map embedded in them and annotated.
