In the blue corner, a recording on a Humax PVR as a .ts file, which the Babbage-Engine reckons to be an MPEG-2 video file. In the red corner, Mr Larrington, who would like to convert said recording to something more portable - .mp3 for preference. Getting the .ts file onto the (Windows) Babbage-Engine is not a problem as the PVR has a network connection and even speaks FTP.
The catch being that it's a recording of a
radio programme. Audacity did generate a .mp3 file when asked nicely but it was only twelve minutes long; the original programme is 45 minutes. Teh Intarwebs, being New and Modern, seems not to be aware of the existence of radio, or else my
Google-Fu is a Rubbish.
Any suggestions from Thee Panel gratefully received (preferably ones not chock-full of jargon
).
